SILICON VALLEY ART FAIR
n Silicon Valley Art Fair, I learned a lot when this art fair happened. My studio was very skinny, so I had to paint the mural in sections, and then my studio mate sewed them together. And then even still, there was a part of the bottom that wasn't canvas, and it was directly on the wall, and I painted that wall part live as people were walking in and out.
The fair operators, they wanted something very colorful and large to capture the viewers as they were coming in and out of the art fair. And this was a time where the art world was really trying to break into Silicon Valley Bay Area's new tech money, if you will, and they just really didn't understand the mindset of Silicon Valley and how to break into that.
So for me, as I find myself often in between worlds and timelines, it was really interesting to participate in this moment and kind of just hear and participate in this moment in history of the Bay Area.
